West Houston Radiology Spinal Services and Procedures

Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty – Certain fractures of the spine can be treated with percutaneous needle delivery of bone cement for immediate stabilization. Many patients are able to walk home the same day with little or no pain.

Epidural Steroid, Facet, and Nerve Root Injections – An anti-inflammatory medication, such as a corticosteroid, can be injected, sometimes in combination with a local anesthetic, under x-ray guidance into locations in and around the spine believed to be the source of pain or radiculapathy.
